Cloud Linux Inc., a software company dedicated to serving the needs of hosting service providers, today announced the release of SecureLVE, an extension of its Lightweight Virtual Environment technology which creates a higher level of security for shared hosting servers. The company avers that SecureLVE provides a virtualized file system, which separates each user on the server into its own virtual environment, preventing one user from seeing any other users on the server. It claims that this new server security makes it difficult for hackers to attack, deface, or steal data from the shared web server.

The company states that SecureLVE is based on its Lightweight Virtual Environment technology, which allows the administrator to control CPU usage on a server at the tenant or application level.
